La Caleta underwater National Park covers an area of 10.1 km2 and is located on the outskirts of town, La Caleta is the smallest national park in the country and also one of the most visited, it is considered one of the five best diving areas in the Caribbean. It was declared a national park in1986.

Boca Chica nightlife - The night life of Boca Chica is mostly centered on Calle Duarte, which is parallel to the beach. At the beginning of the night, Calle Duarte is a very pleasant place. Both ends of the street are blocked and becomes a walking street. Most of the restaurants are open on both sides of the street with tables and chairs on the sidewalk and the street. A lot of people eat dinner here, have a drink or walk around looking at the shops. Around midnight most restaurants close and the bars take over the street, transforming it into a kind of neighborhood party.
